The 2010 Equine Lameness Prevention Organization PROFESSIONAL FARRIER SCHOOL DATES ARE SET.

Classes will be strictly limited to six students per session.

The course is eight weeks in length, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Classes are designed to give the student skills in all aspects of an entry level professional farrier business. Includes forging and basic handmade shoes as well as hot factory shoe modifications.
Course will be held here in Penrose, Colorado at their facilities, as well as local ranches and farms.
Cost is $5,000 for the full 8 weeks, plus textbook and hand tools. Required Tool list will be available prior to the course.
The farrier classes will still be taught by Patty Stiller, CNBF CLS, from Hoofcare Specialties LLC and operated by the Equine Lameness Prevention Organization,
www.E-Hoofcare.com a non profit research and educational group dedicated to research of the equine hoof, teaching Natural Balance principles , and raising the overall standards of business professionalism in the Farrier industry.
Group student housing for up to three students is available from Hoofcare Specialties in a modest group housing setting for a fee of $100 per week per student. ( click"student housing" button )
The fully furnished and equipped two bedroom one bath mobile home sleeps up to 3 people comfortably.
Horsemanship skills, and physical fitness, and realistic expectations from this course are required for admittance. A telephone interview from the instructor will be made after receipt of application and prior to acceptance.
The instructor reserves the right to refuse admission to any student deemed unqualified or unprepared for the course for any reason.
