WE NOW HAVE A BUNKHOUSE FOR STUDENTS
BUNKHOUSE INFORMATION :With the rising cost of travel and housing, in order to assist in reducing the cost of attending hoofcare classes, Hoofcare Specialties LLC has leased a double wide mobile home in Penrose for use by students attending any of our classes as well as clinics and classes put on by the Equine Lameness Prevention organization.
The mobile home is within walking distance to the class facilities.
The housing unit is a double wide, two bedroom one bath home.
It offers a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook your own food. The kitchen is also stocked with bulk food staples such as flour ,sugar, coffee spices and condiments.
In bunkhouse style, the home is furnished with twin beds.
One small bedroom has one bed, the larger bedroom has two. There is also a twin daybed in the living room and a full size futon .There is room for one more twin size cot in the larger bedroom if needed.
Basic local TV is supplied in the living room. It also has a DVD and VCR and is stocked with movies, hoofcare videos , books and farrier magazines.
The home is coed, therefore for privacy and security if the house has 3 or more people women will be given first preference for the private bedrooms if they are sharing the home with men. One female will get the individual smaller bedroom first. If two females, they will share the larger bedroom. Otherwise, the bedrooms are 'first come first served' .
The single bathroom is shared. It has a bathtub with shower, and comes stocked with plenty of nice towels.
Cost for short term class (two day up to two week ) attendees is $25 a day per person. Cost for longer term students (8 week course) is $100 per student per week.
